18 D Style Stitcher Head & Parts

The 18D and 26/26D Stitcher Heads remain the most common style heads in the world for both manufacturers of printing equipment and print finishers. Used in hundreds of collator applications and with a host a different stitcher machines, these Traditional Style Heads are now available with Magnetic Swivels for improved performance, when using round wire.

The 18D Head's excellent reputation for reliability is in large part due to its dual-drive design, With an impressive 9/16"(14mm capacity), this versatile head lends itself well to many stitcher applications of larger collating systems.

With a sustained 1/4" (6mm) capacity, the 26/26D Head can be used for almost any bindery application. Deluxe stitcher can configure a Head to meet your specific needs.

Side Feed Heads

G20 Side Feed Heads

The G20 and G8 side-feed Stitcher Heads represent the ultimate in high performance Heads for high volume application. These side-feed Heads virtually eliminate dropped stitches. The efficient design reduces the number of moving parts making maintenance quick and easy, resulting in lower operation costs and less down time.

Many of the largest printers in the world already use our G20 and G8 Stitcher Heads. Quebecor World*, R.R. Donnelley & Sons*, St.Ives*, Calligraphy*, Pinga*,Hes Bossert* and more.

In fact, the G20 was designed with the high volume printer in mind. Heavy duty, like its 18D predecessor, design improvements makes the G20 a more reliable high capacity Stitcher Head. This head reaches speeds of 18,000 stitches an hour, stitches at capacity of 3/4"(20mm) and accommodates both round and flat wire.

G5 Side Feed Heads

In response to requests for a smaller capacity Stitcher Head, Deluxe Stitcher designed and manufactured the new G5 Stitcher Head. Here is a lo-cost alternative for collators needing a smaller capacity Head with greater reliability. The G5 Head can be used on Duplo*, Horizon*, Watkiss*, Theisen and Bonitz* and Rosback* collating systems, to name a few.

The G5 was designed with the latest innovative technology in mind. No tools are required to thread or operate this Head and wire draw can be controlled with a single knob adjustment. The G5 features side-feed operation, a front-locking mount system and requires no wire straightening. This Head is easy to use!

The G5 has a stitching capacity from 2 sheets up to 5mm*(13/64') and will accommodate wire sizes from 25-28 gauge round. The minimum center to center distance between heads is an amazing 1-1/2"(39mm) at a 3/64"(1.0mm) capacity setting. This specification lends itself well to unique jobs requiring little space between stitches, such as CD and coupon booklets and all types of "two-up" work.

G8 Side Feed Heads

The G8 Head has a maximum stitching thickness of 8mm and a top speed of 20,000 stitches per hour. Dependable and flexible, the G8 is ideal for collating applications such as pamphlets, brochures and manuals.
